For people of all ages and backgrounds, it's an odyssey through the imagination and a discovery of kindred spirits, Director Gisella Bustillos explains this complex and puzzling subject in a way that everyone, from die-hard scifi fans to those who are entirely new to the subject, can understand. With artful animation and clear, stark imagery, she shows how science fiction can empower and inspire the future scientists, innovators, and thinkers of the world. Told through different perspectives, a collective of experts from scientists to religious leaders talk about how the idea of time travel has influenced their work and as well as their personal lives. ******************************** ******************************** WHO WE'VE INTERVIEWED: Wanda Gregory - IAS Lecturer, UW Bothell Bill Nye - The Science Guy Ted Chang - Speculative Fiction Writer Brooks Peck - Curator At the EMP Chana Phaedra -Cryobiologist Satyanarayana Dasa - Founder Jiva Institute Tim Schafer -Founder, Double Fine Productions Erik Demaine - Professor of Computer Science MIT Alexandra Holmes - Intuitive Business Strategist and many more….. WHO'S IN THE STORY? Many people who've shaped modern science and pop culture as we know it were hugely impacted by dreams of time travel. From New York to L.A., we've spent the past couple of years interviewing those people: theoretical physicists, an expert on human life extension, astronomers, sci-fi writers, a legendary game designer, Doctor Who historians, jazz artists, and everyday geeks like ourselves Time travel is one of the most contagious ideas in science fiction. In a society where time is a unit of value and instant gratification is prized, the idea of traveling through time offers a means of escape. And our obsession with time travel is growing: in the last decade, it's appeared more than ever in books, movies, and pop culture. What makes time travel so powerful that it resonates in each of us, and to what lengths are we going today to make it a reality? .

"We never said the world was going to end. This has all come from a media campaign led in the west to spread fear and to keep the true message of our wisdom and culture hidden." - Maya elder Tata Pedro Cruz Journey into the heart of the Maya today, to discover what their message is for the world. Contemporary society has developed a fascination with the Mayan Calendar, and culture, but we rarely hear the voice of the Maya themselves. Now that the hype of 2012 has passed, learn the true story of the Maya, what their vision is for the New Era and the journey to the return of their rights and culture. Through the eyes of Tzutujil Mayan Elder Pedro Cruz, we learn of the indigenous struggle to retain the wisdom of the ancient Mayan teachings. With the arrival of the conquistadors, this ignited an era of destruction of Mayan language, culture, and their way of keeping time. Today, there is a movement to bring the message of hope and unity that has been preserved in their teachings for generations to the greater world. We travel with a group of Maya who lead us through ceremonies that share on film for the first time the inner workings of their traditional teachings and the return of the rights to their culture. This is the return of the ancient wisdom, this is Guatemaya.
